Research

Members of the Department carry out internationally renowned research in the areas of complexity theory and algorithmics, agent technology, logic and computation and economics and computation.

75% of this research was rated as 4* or 3* in RAE 2008, and the proportion of world-leading research publications was the third highest in the UK.

Department

The Department is housed in a Grade II listed building, located in the heart of the University's city centre campus. This has been extensively redesigned and developed for the 21st century, featuring a £5 million investment in state-of-the-art equipment and infrastructure.
