We offer a range of degrees that are balanced between commercial, scientific and theoretical topics, to help our students to grow professionally and keep pace with rapid changes in the field.

Research

Members of the Department carry out internationally renowned research in the areas of complexity theory and algorithmics, agent technology, logic and computation and economics and computation.

75% of this research was rated as 4* or 3* in RAE 2008, and the proportion of world-leading research publications was the third highest in the UK.

Department

The Department is housed in a Grade II listed building, located in the heart of the University's city centre campus. This has been extensively redesigned and developed for the 21st century, featuring a £5 million investment in state-of-the-art equipment and infrastructure.
