Complexity, Theory, and Algorithmics Group (CTAG) - About the logo

The logo in Postscript (only 798 bytes). For the aesthetes amongst you, the text of the Postscript file is reproduced below.

The logo in PDF (still fairly parsimonious at 2170 bytes)

The design of the logo

The design is with reference to some of the research topics that used to be the focus of the group; they are no longer such a focus, but the logo remains! The letters C, T, A, G are the standard notations for the four bases of DNA (refers to DNA computing). The group name is superimposed within a 2-edge colouring of the 4-dimensional hypercube, H4. Each set of monochromatic edges traces a Hamiltonian Cycle in this network. (refers to networks of parallel machines, and combinatorics generally)
