ASSOCIATE FOR KTP PROGRAMME

Starting salary £20,000 pa

Applications are invited for a fixed term, full time, post of (Research) Associate within the Department of Computer Science at the University of Liverpool. The post is funded by a KTP (Knowledge Transfer Partnership) award for the Transglobal Express Project between the Department of Conmputer Sccienece at The University of Liverpool and Transglobal Express Limited.

It is expected that the successful applicant will be a good quality computer science graduate, preferably with some knowledge of web application development using Active Server Pages (ASP). Some knowledge of reverse engineering practices and/or web mining would also be desirable. Personal attributes would include good verbal communications and interpersonal skills.

The post will be tenable, in the first instance, for a period of two years, commencing May/June 2007 or shortly thereafter, at an appropriate salary on the RA (1B) scale. It is expected that at the end of this term the successful applicant will continue the research work within Transglobal Express Limited. The successful applicant will also be afforded the opportunity to register for a higher degree (M.Phil).
