On the Glauber dynamics for graph colourings Catherine Greenhill (with Martin Dyer, Leslie Goldberg and Mark Jerrum) We present a new analysis of the mixing rate of the Glauber dynamics for graph colourings in bounded degree graphs. The analysis involves applying path coupling at certain stopping times. We show that the Glauber dynamics mixes rapidly for a (slightly) wider range of k, the number of colours, than was previously known.
