About me

I have finished high-school (Cantemir Vodă National College) in Bucharest, Romania, and studied for my B.Sc. degree in Computer Science at the University of Liverpool, which I obtained in 2011. I continued to pursue a Ph.D. in the department, and my research focused on the design and analysis of offline and online algorithms for packing and scheduling. I've worked on problems such as dynamic bin packing, windows scheduling, energy-efficient algorithms, energy-efficient routing, and scheduling with a thermal threshold. I completed my Ph.D. under the supervision of Prudence Wong in 2014. Some research not covered in the section below is included in my thesis. I am currently in a hiatus from research, working as a software developer for the NHS.
