League Announcements


Introduction

Brief Description
The Liverpool Invitation Pool League is a league that is played on a Wednesday night. It is open to pubs and clubs in and around the Liverpool area.

It runs a full league and cup fixture list, that typically runs from early January until late October-November, depending on the number of league teams.

If any pub or club is interested in joining the League, or has any other enquiries, please contact the League Secretary.

Any pub or club, in the Liverpool region, that is interesetd in joining the Liverpool Invitation Pool League is invited to do so.

League Matches

  
Each League Match consists of 9 frames, and is played out in the "Match Format" opposite.

One point is awarded for each frame, and an extra point is awarded for winning the match. Therefore, if a team wins a match by 6 frames to 3, then the match score is recorded as 7 - 3.

N.B: With this format, there is only one restriction:

  • A player cannot play two "Singles" frames or two "Doubles" frames in one match.

    A team would require a minimum of 6 players and a maximum of 12 players to complete a match.

    If a team only had 6 players, each player would have to play a "Singles" frame and a "Doubles" frame in order to complete the match.

    If a team had more than 6 players, it is entirely up to the team captain who plays. It is not necessary for every player to play a "Singles" and "Doubles" frame. Any combination is acceptable, so long as it does not conflict with the restriction mentioned above.
