I’ve just started work as a faculty member at the University of Liverpool’s School of Computer and Mathematical Sciences, within the Agent ART Group in August 2008. This comes after having spent the previous six years in the Intelligence, Agents, Multimedia Group at the University of Southampton. Whilst the decision in part was to solve the “two-body problem” and put an end to the weekly commute between the two cities, the move will allow me to continue my research into Knowledge-Based systems and Agents research, collaborating closely with the LIKE lab.

The Agent ART group at Liverpool is one of Europe's leading agent research groups. Members of the group carry out internationally respected research on all aspects of agent systems, although the group has particular strengths in the areas of Theoretical Foundations of Multi-Agent Systems, Argumentation and Dialogue, Ontologies and the Semantic Web, and Data Mining. Since 1995, members of the group have published at every major agents conference and AI conference (including IJCAI, AAAI, ECAI, AAMAS, and many others), and have published many books on the subject.
