1. INTRODUCTION
To include the results of running a Java programme (i.e. "evidence of
testing") into your Word report it is simplest to cut and paste the
result into your document. How to do this will depend on the operating system
you are using.
2. UNIX/LINUX
When using the UNIX/LINUX operating system, to cut and paste results of
running a Java programme,
proceed as follows:
- In the "terminal" window:
- Highlight the area of the window that you wish to copy by holding down the
left button of your mouse and dragging the mouse cursor across the text you wish
to copy.
- Press control-c.
- In your Word document:
- Move the mouse cursor to the position in your word document where you want
to paste the text.
- Press control-v.
3. WINDOWS
When using the Windows operating system, to cut and paste results of
running a Java programme (i.e. "evidence of testing") into your word document,
proceed as follows:
- In the "command prompt" window:
- Highlight the area of the window that you wish to copy by holding down the
left button of your mouse and dragging the mouse cursor across the window.
- Press return.
- In your Word document:
- Move the mouse cursor to the position in your word document where you want
to paste the text.
- Press control-v.
