COMP516 - Research Methods in Computer Science (2008-09)

Module notes

The slides used in the lectures will typically be made available shortly after each lecture. (This is because most lectures will incorporate a group discussion during which you work out answers/solutions to questions/problems posed during the lectures; the slides would give away those answers/solutions.)
They will be available in two different formats:

Later during the term printouts of the module notes will be made available (free of charge) from the Computer Science Helpdesk (Room 225, Holt Building; Opening hours: Monday to Friday, 9:30-12:30 and 14:00-16:00; except Wednesday afternoon).

Practicals

Practicals will consist of tutorials, taking place in the Ground Floor Seminar Room, Ashton Building, and lab sessions, taking place Tuesday, 13:00-14:00, every week starting from mid October, in Lab 6, Holt Building.

During both tutorials and lab sessions you will typically work through exercise sheets which are either handed out during previous lectures or at the start of the session itself. Most of the exercise sheets will also be available on this web page.
